Selected dates

January 2022: GFI governance token launched and reached its reported all-time high.
December 2023: Heron Finance was announced on Goldfinch.
February 2025: Goldfinch Prime launched.
November 13, 2025: GIP-84 proposed distributing the remaining GIP-67 principal-loss allocation as GFI rather than USDC, citing conversion logistics. The proposal does not establish that the distribution occurred.
December 5, 2025: GIP-85 proposed using $250,000 from the bug-bounty budget toward roughly $330,000 in reported losses from a December 2 exploit of an old test contract. A proposal is not proof of reimbursement.
June 12, 2026: GIP-87 proposed winding down Goldfinch Prime and moving the protocol to maintenance mode.

GIP-84 and GIP-85 came before GIP-87. Their sequence may look like housekeeping before a wind-down, but neither earlier proposal establishes that a closure was planned at the time.
