Goldfinch, Stratos, and REZI: Mapping a Private-Credit Loss, a Bank Lawsuit, and a DeFi Recovery Question
A careful distinction between a legal complaint, a credit-facility record, and an unproven question about any Goldfinch connection.

Editorial rule: A legal complaint reports what a plaintiff alleges, not what a court found. This article does not assert that Goldfinch-originated capital refinanced, repaid, purchased, or otherwise reduced any Stratos REZI exposure.
The documented facility and the pleading
According to the supplied case details, WebBank filed WebBank v. Stratos Technologies Capital Fund I, LP, et al. in New York Supreme Court, New York County, on September 21, 2023. The named defendants include Stratos entities, MK2C-REZI Funding I LLC, and named individuals. The complaint describes MK2C-REZI Funding I LLC as a lender and administrative agent connected to a facility involving YDC, Inc. d/b/a REZI and REZI Lease Funding I, LLC.
The pleading states that WebBank purchased a participation under a September 24, 2021 agreement, alleges an advance of approximately $37.5 million and a roughly 66.67% interest, and asserts several causes of action. Those are allegations in a pleading, not established facts or findings of liability.
The Goldfinch linkage question
A dashboard, governance post, or reported exposure cannot by itself prove a complete capital path. Before stating any link between Goldfinch and the REZI facility, a researcher would need primary support for the applicable Goldfinch pool entity, borrower and SPV roles, facility terms and funded balance, payment recipients, the economic purpose of any payment, disclosure records, and available on-chain and off-chain evidence.
What must be verified
- The WebBank complaint, docket history, participation agreement, and REZI credit documents.
- The relevant Goldfinch borrower-pool documentation, governance proposals, and final vote records.
- Borrower financial statements, default or restructuring notices, and servicing records.
- Transaction-level evidence showing source, recipient, amount, date, legal entity, and purpose of any claimed payment.
An economic connection is not automatically evidence of liability, fraud, or misuse of capital. The article therefore treats any proposed Goldfinch–REZI pathway as an open research question and explains how it should be tested. Return to all analysis.
